ENTRY LIMITS - 50 runs per judge

Sheep Runs:

Test Classes - SHEEP (Pre-Trial Test & Herding Test - 3 or 5 head per run)

Trial Classes - Course A - SHEEP (Started, Intermediate, Advanced - 5 head per run)

Exhibition Only - SHEEP (HS, HI, HX - 3 head per run)

Non-Regular Class - SHEEP - Brace (HS only - 5 head per run)

Duck Runs:

25 TRIAL Runs Course A and Course B combined

(HS, HI, HX - 5 head per run)

OPENING DATE FOR ENTRIES

Entry opening date will be February 16, 2008 no entries received before this date will be accepted and will be returned.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES

7 pm CDT April 9, 2008 at Secretary's address after which time entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or substituted. When numerical limit is reached, additional entries will be placed on an alternate list. Drawing for running order will be April 10, 2008, 9:00 AM (CDT) at the Secretary's address.



Directions to Test/Trial Location

From the South (Nashville):From I-65 north of Nashville, take exit 117 (Hwy 52 - Orlinda and Portland). Turn West (left) onto Hwy 52 for 3.5 miles. Turn Right onto Highland Rd (no sign). It is the first right turn past Pleasant Hill Cemetary. Go 1.7 miles. Turn Left onto Red River School Rd. Go 2.7 miles. At 1.8 miles you cross into Kentucky and the road becomes KY-816. Turn Left onto L Caudill Rd. You pass Caudill Rd on the right just before this turn. L Caudill is a narrow and windy road. Go 1.3 miles. At 0.9 miles L Caudill turns into Charlie Butts Rd, but there is no road sign to indicate change. 1073 Charlie Butts Rd is on the Left. The house has gray siding with a front porch and is close to the road.

From the North (Exit 2, Kentucky): From I-65 Exit 2, head Southeast on US-31W. Immediately turn Right onto Butts Rd and go 1.9 miles. Turn Left onto KY-1522 and go 0.2 miles. Turn Right onto Witt Rd. Immediately turn Left onto Andrews Rd/Mays Rd. Go 0.7 miles. Turn Right onto Kummer Rd. Go 1.6 miles. Turn Left onto KY-816. Go 1.0 miles. Angle Right onto Charlie Butts Rd. When the road appears to dead end at L Caudill, Charlie Butts Rd continues toward the Right. 1073 Charlie Butts Rd is on the Left, a gray siding house with a front porch close to the road.

From I-65 in Kentucky, just north of the Tennessee state line, take Exit 6: Go West on KY-100 toward KOA Ln 3.1 miles. Turn Right onto US-31W/KY-100 and go 0.1 miles. Turn Left onto KY-383/Madison Ave. Continue to follow KY-383 for 2.1 miles. Turn Left onto KY-816 and go 3.0 miles. Angle Right onto Charlie Butts Rd. When the road appears to dead end at L Caudill, Charlie Butts Rd continues toward the Right. 1073 Charlie Butts Rd is on the Left, a gray siding house with a front porch close to the road.

Sheep: $45.00 Duck: $35.00

Includes a $3.00 AKC Recording fee for each entry and each class.



LIVESTOCK

Sheep: (Crossbred Katahdin, Barbados, Finnish, Suffolk, Romany) - 3 or 5 head per run. (Valued at $125.00 per head. Sheep used will be appropriate for each level. Ducks: English Call Ducks - 5 head per run. (Valued at $30.00 each).

Course B Ducks Outruns are the minimum: 60' HS, 75' HI, 100' HA.

FOOD AND DRINK

Morning coffee and snacks will be available. LUNCHES WILL BE AVAILABLE BY PRE-ORDER. USE FORM ON PAGE 5 OF PREMIUM LIST. LUNCH ORDER FORM MUST BE RECEIVED BY ABTC NO LATER THAN APRIL 9, 2008.

Non-Regular/Exhibition Only runs

No titles will be awarded in these classes. Priority will be given to regular class entries before these entries will be accepted. Day of trial entries will be accepted if there are openings.

BRACE CLASS

This class is to be run with two dogs and one handler - HS Course only. Both Dogs must hold at least an HS title to compete in this class. Fill out an entry form for each dog please!

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

ALL AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB RULES REGARDING

SPORTSMANSHIP WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

• TEST/TRIAL SITE Will be available at 7:00 am until one hour after conclusion of event.

• EXHIBITORS MUST confine crates and exercise pens to the area designated by committee. Proof of current vaccinations (Including Rabies) must be available for any dog at these events.

• EXHIBITORS PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG AND YOURSELF! We ask the cooperation of exhibitors in helping to keep the Test/Trial location as clean as possible in order to retain the use of this facility for future Test/Trials. PLEASE bring your own Chairs and Shade Screens, as limited shade is available.

• BITCHES IN SEASON will run last in TEST classes and in catalog order for TRIAL classes.

• ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEAD EXCEPT WHEN JUDGED IN THE ARENA!

• RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a $25.00 fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being on a "cash-only" basis.

• A DOG MAY BE ENTERED in both the Trial and the Test, however preference will be given to all first entries should the numerical limit be reached. The second entry will be then taking as an alternate. Please specify on the entry form the class preference for priority.

• IF ENTRIES FILL, priority will be given to regular class entries over non-regular class entries. Refunds will be made as necessary.

• ENTRIES NOT MADE ON OFFICIAL AKC HERDING forms and photocopies of entry forms without the Release Form on the reverse side of the entry form are not acceptable. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance.

• NO FAX OR PHONE ENTRIES ACCEPTED.

• NO REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATED ENTRIES, ERRORS OR ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such.

• ENTRY FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a judge, or barred from the competition by actions of the Test/Trial committee.

Refunds of entries pulled after closing date without a Veterinarian note will be 70% of entry fee, as long as an alternate runs. If no alternate runs, no refund will be given. Entry fees will not be refunded if the test/trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riot, civil disturbance, fire or Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strike or any other cause beyond the control of the club.

• The American Belgian Tervuren Club, its officers and representatives, the Test/Trial Chair, Secretary, Committee & Owner of the Test/Trial site assume no responsibility for loss, damage or injury sustained by spectators, exhibitors' property and their dogs and further assume no responsibility for injury to children.

• Remember to Waive Signature on Express Delivery Entries.

• If advance confirmation is desired, enclose a stamped self addressed envelope.

• No phone or e-mail confirmations will be given before the printed judges' schedule.
