ENTRIES ACCEPTED ON "FIRST RECEIVED BASIS ON OR AFTER 8:00 AM EDT MONDAY, February 11, 2008.

Paper entries received within 24 hours of the opening date and time must: 1) include postage or be metered; and 2) be delivered by a multi-state or multi-national postal or carrier service, including but not limited to USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL. Please waive signature requirements on all forms of delivery. Mail requiring signatures will be returned to sender. A maximum of ten entries per envelope is allowed. Envelopes with more than ten entries and/or entries received prior to the opening date will be returned.

ENTRIES CLOSE 6:00 PM EDT WEDNESDAY, April 16, 2008, after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled, altered or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules.

MOVE-UPS will be accepted prior to 6:00 PM EDT WEDNESDAY, April 28, 2008. Day-to-day move ups for those dogs earning a title at these trials will be accepted until the close of trials on Saturday. Move up forms will be available at the show secretary's table.

Make checks payable to American Belgian Tervuren Club or ABTC (returned check charge $25). All entries must be submitted on official AKC Agility entry forms, one dog per entry form. Photocopies of entries without the AKC agreement attached are NOT acceptable. Unsigned, incomplete or illegible entries are NOT acceptable and cannot be entered (AKC Rule CH 14, Sec 4). Faxed entries and/or credit cards cannot be accepted.

FIRST PRIZE - Blue Rosette THIRD PRIZE - Yellow Rosette

SECOND PRIZE - Red Rosette FOURTH PRIZE - White Rosette

QUALIFYING SCORE - Dark Green Ribbon

Rosettes will be awarded to the 1st through 4th place dog in each jump height in each titling class. Qualifying Ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score in each titling class. 1st place prizes for all Regular and Preferred Classes are Prints by ABTC member & artist Jennifer Benedict, 2nd to 4th place prizes for Regular and Preferred Classes are Hand-Forged Leash Hooks in a Tervuren Motif. Prizes for F.A.S.T. Classes will be Plush Dog Toys. The Prize for High and Combined Regular and Preferred will be a Tervuren Head Study in an Iris Motif on a Ceramic Box, by ABTC member and artist Jennifer Benedict and an ABTC Medallion.

~All Prizes must be claimed day of show. None will be mailed.~


HIGH COMBINED

High Combined will be awarded to the dog earning the highest combined score in all four Regular Classes over the two days of trials. Ties to be broken first by the highest combined score from the Regular classes, then the highest average (combined) yards per second calculated from the Regular class running times, using only the qualifying runs. Additionally, High Combined Preferred will be determined in the same manner, but using the scores from the four Preferred Classes over the two days of trials.



DIRECTIONS TO SHOW SITE

Tri-State Exhibition Center is located 1/4 mile off Interstate 75 at Exit 20 in Cleveland, Tennessee. A map will be furnished with the confirmation letter sent to exhibitors after closing.

Motels/hotels require that dogs be crated when left unattended in rooms. All owners/exhibitors

should be aware that the entire motel and grounds are considered within the trial limits. You will be responsible for all damage to your room and may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the rules of the AKC. Any abuse of the motel/adjoining grounds will be brought to the attention of the show giving club and its Trial Committee. Any exhibitor's entries may be refused for previous misuse of the motel facilities. This is an AKC supported measure.

Trial grounds are not open for set-up until Monday morning at 12:00 noon.

Everything must be removed by the end of the day on Tuesday after the Trial.



CHECK IN AND WALK THROUGH

MONDAY Check in will begin at 12:00 noon with judging to begin at 1:00 PM.

TUESDAY Check in will begin at 7:00 AM with judging to begin at 9:00 AM.

The Running Order and Class Order will be provided with your final confirmation.

THERE WILL BE SELF-CHECK IN FOR THOSE WHO SEND IN COPIES OF THEIR HEIGHT CARDS WITH THEIR ENTRIES.



COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM UP

Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the start of the class. A walk-through period will be held prior to each class. Only handlers entered in the class will be permitted on the course. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors.

All dogs entering the Preferred Classes for the first time MUST enter at the NOVICE level in both Pref. Std. & Pref. JWW. The following jump heights must be used in all Preferred Classes.

MEASURING

All dogs competing in Agility will be required to present an official AKC Jump Height Card prior to running in an Agility Trial. ABTC WILL HAVE A VMO ON SITE FOR OFFICIAL HEIGHT CARD MEASURING SO ALL DOGS WITHOUT A VALID TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT HEIGHT CARD MUST BE MEASURED PRIOR TO RUNNING, REGARDLESS OF THE HEIGHT CLASS ENTERED. If you have a height card, please submit a copy with your entry. ABTC WILL ACCEPT PHOTOCOPIES OF THE PERMANENT OR UNEXPIRED TEMPORARY HEIGHT CARD WITH THE ENTRY FOR THIS SHOW. ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT A COPY OF A HEIGHT CARD WILL REQUIRE THE CARD TO BE SHOWN AT THE TRIAL PRIOR TO PICKING UP ARMBANDS OR A VMO MEASUREMENT AT THE TRIAL.



EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely.

Entry Fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. No entry fees will be refunded if the trials cannot be open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, an act of public enemy, or other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. ABTC reserves the right to cancel these trials in the event of extreme weather conditions and no entry fee refunds will be made in such case.

Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $25.00 charge added to all returned checks. No refund for duplicate entries will be given. Care will be taken to find duplicates; however, if an entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dog and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee be asked to leave the trial site. There will be no refunds of entry fees if a person is asked to leave the trial site.

All dogs must be on a leash at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area.

Bitches in season will not be permitted in the Trial. Entry fees less $5.00 administrative fee per day will be refunded for bitches coming in season after closing date. Owner must present certificate form Veterinarian to the Secretary prior to the start of the trial.

Exhibitors alone are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. Failure to be at the ring gate may result in an exhibitor being marked absent.

Exhibitors should follow their Veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

Canadian exhibitors must make payment in US funds. ABTC assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail.

ABTC may decline any entries, and may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other cause and no one shall have any claim against the ABTC or any official thereof.

Owners are responsible for errors made on entry forms, whosoever may make such errors and no entry fee shall be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of such entries after the closing date. Please type or print the information on the entry form carefully to eliminate such errors.

Exhibitors assume all risk of leaving items overnight at the trial site. ABTC assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to items at the trial site.

Dogs under 6 months of age are not permitted on the show grounds of AKC Agility Trials.

DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER

This Trial is open to all Belgian Tervuren over the age of 15 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club, or have AKC Limited Registration, or have just obtained and ILP number from the AKC, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance.
