Dogs are not required to be at the show until scheduled time of judging. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused.

ENTRY FEE is $25.00 for the first entry of each dog, except in Puppy Classes, Bred by Exhibitor Classes and Veteran Classes which are $19.00 each. Each Additional Entry of the same dog is $19.00. First Rally Entry (each Trial) is $25.00 each additional entry for the same dog is $19.00. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP-$14.00 if an Additional Entry; $19.00 if entered for 'Junior Showmanship Only'. Fees include the $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee on the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes or the $3.00 AKC Recording Fee on each entry of a dog in Rally.. (There is no recording fee or event service fee for sweepstakes, futurities, brace/team, multi-dog classes, or special attractions.)

• NOTE •

In order to comply with the provisions of Wisconsin Statutes [s. 95.21 (2)] and Administrative Codes [s. ATCP 11.52], relating to the Statewide Rabies Control Program, the owner of any dog kept or exhibited in Wisconsin (other than a dog kept for educational or scientific purposes) shall have the dog vaccinated against rabies by a veterinarian at no later than 5 months of age and revaccinated within one year after the initial vaccination. Any person (including out-of-state exhibitors) who imports a dog into Wisconsin (for exhibition or any other purpose) must have a valid interstate health certificate or certificate of veterinary inspection for that dog, regardless of the age of the dog. The certificate must be completed by a veterinarian; accompany the dog when it enters this state; and indicate the current vaccination status of the dog. Vaccinations shall be administered by a veterinarian and comply with age and time standards and label instructions approved by the federal bureau for the type of vaccine used.

* In order for the clubs to continue to use these facilities for further shows, we would appreciate your cooperation in leaving the grounds in the condition in which you found them.

"BEST VETERAN" Competition

The Badger Kennel Club as part of its All-Breed Show, will hold a Best Veteran Competition. Competition will be for Best of Breed/Variety Veteran, Best Veteran in Group (with placements one through four) and Best Veteran in Show.

Veterans (dogs and bitches 7 years of age or older) may be entered in the Veteran Class if unaltered & will compete in the regular competition. There will be NO Special Attraction Veteran Competition for altered dogs and bitches in this show. All Best Veterans in Breed/Variety will be eligible to compete in their respective Veteran Groups for Best Veteran in Show. The Entry Fee for the Veteran class will be $19.00.

Limited Junior Showmanship Qualifications

1. Must reside in Wisconsin.

2. Must have won first place in 2 or more OPEN Junior Showmanship Classes, with competition present, at shows between April 18, 2007 and April 16, 2008. These wins may be at licensed or member specialty shows as well as all-breed shows. Wins at AKC sanctioned matches or limited Junior Showmanship classes do not qualify.

3. Name and date of the show of the qualifying wins MUST accompany the entry form.

4. A junior handler who will be 18 years old or older on the date of the show may still compete provided he or she was under 18 years of age on the date of the last win required to qualify, and a junior handler who will be 15 years old on the day of show but who earned the wins prior to turning 15 years old will compete as a 14 year old and a junior handler who will be 12 years on the day of the show but who earned the wins prior to turning 12 years will compete as an 11 year old.

5. Each dog handled in this class must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or the Junior Handler's father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandmother or grandfather (including the corresponding half and step relations) or by a member of the junior handler's household and must be eligible to compete in Dog shows or in Obedience Trials.

6. Dogs entered and handled in this class may also, but need not be, entered in the Regular Show Class and are subject to all the provisions noted on entry form and in the premium list such as fees, closing date, eligibility.

All Juniors entered will compete in preliminary classes, either Open Junior (9-11) or Open Intermediate (12-14) or Open Senior (15-18) on the day of the show. (see #4 above). The preliminary class judge will select 4 Juniors, without placement, who will compete prior to Groups,

for the title of State of Wisconsin Top Junior Handler.

TOP JUNIOR HANDLER-A Minimum of $750.00 Scholarship*, a BIS size Rosette, and a 8" x 10" Photo of the Top Junior Handler Win offered by Booth Photography.

2 AWARD OF MERIT JUNIOR HANDLERS-Each will receive a Minimum $250.00 Scholarship* and a Rosette.

*(The Scholarships are a one-time scholarship for a post-secondary education (not necessarily a college). When the Junior enrolls, the Cluster will require enrollment confirmation from the school. The payment will be sent directly to the school for credit to the junior's account. Any junior, who does not redeem the scholarship by age 25, will forfeit the scholarship.)

Sweepstakes entries MUST BE entered in one of the Regular classes at this show to be considered in the Sweepstakes Classes. Sweepstakes entries must be handled by the Owner, Co-Owner, a member of the Owner or Co-Owner's family, the breeder or an amateur Handler. Professional Handlers, as defined by the Association, are permitted to handle sweepstakes entries only if they are the Owner, Co-Owner, member of the Owners family or the Breeder of record of the Sweepstakes entry. The Sweepstakes entry and age division must be noted in the Additional Classes portion of the Entry Form. Entry Fee is $18.00.

Sweepstakes entries MUST BE entered in one of the Regular classes at this show to be considered in the Sweepstakes Classes. Sweepstakes entries must be handled by the Owner, Co-Owner, a member of the Owner or Co-Owner's family, the breeder or an amateur Handler. Janesville-Beloit Kennel Club and Badger Kennel Club are pleased that Dr. Paul E. Miller DVM and Dr. Ellison Bentley DVM have accepted our invitations to hold eye clinics at our dog shows/obedience trials. Both are faculty members at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.

Examination fee is $22.00 per dog. Make all payable to BKC. Please fill out the form below and return with a self-addressed stamped envelope and a single check for the appropriate amount to Sheryl Bolton, 1520 Arrowood Drive, Madison WI 53704-3806 by April 27, 2008. Indicate if your dog is entered in the show or trial so we can schedule your appointment time after your ring time. You will be notified by mail (using the SASE you have supplied) of your appointment time after the judging schedule is published. Walk-in appointments will only be accepted if time is available.

Per AKC regulations, dogs under 6 months of age are not allowed on show grounds. Since dogs as young as 8 weeks may have a CERF exam, dogs under 6 months of age will be admitted ONLY TO THE EYE CLINIC AREA.

You will need to bring your dog's registration number and birth date plus copies of previous eye exams, if any. Dogs that pass the CERF exam can be certified with the Canine Eye Registration Foundation for an additional fee.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

A RECORDING FEE of 50¢, and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. Agility will have a $3.00 AKC Recording Fee for the first entry & $3.00 for each additional entry per dog. Rally Trial will have a $3.00 AKC Recording Fee on each entry of a dog. These Fees are to be collected by the Show-Giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes will be collected. (There is no recording fee or event service fee for sweepstakes, futurities, brace/team, multi-dog classes, or special attractions.)

IF, BECAUSE OF RIOTS, CIVIL DISTURBANCES, OR OTHER ACTS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE MANAGEMENT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN OR TO COMPLETE THIS SHOW, NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEE WILL BE MADE. THE WELL BEING OF THE DOGS, EXHIBITORS AND SPECTATORS IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE, AND IN THE EVENT IT IS NECESSARY TO CANCEL OR STOP THE EVENT BEFORE COMPLETION, NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEE WILL BE MADE.

ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. We will make every effort to find duplicate entries, but if entry is processed, NO REFUND SHALL BE MADE.

THE OWNER OR HANDLER of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when its class is to be judged. The Show-Giving Club and Superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system, or stewards or runners for the purpose of locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required.

ALL EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND THEIR DOGS!

ENTRY FORM changes, additions, corrections and cancellations MUST be received in writing or by telegram prior to the closing of entries, and MUST INCLUDE AKC NUMBER AND BREED OF DOG. Those received by telephone are NOT acceptable. SUBSTITUTIONS REQUIRE A NEW COMPLETED ENTRY FORM.

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE LEGIBLE AND MUST INCLUDE AKC NUMBER OR NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED!! A $1.00 ADMINISTRATIVE/PROCESSING FEE PER ENTRY WILL BE DEDUCTED.

NO ENTRY shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance.

THE SHOW-GIVING CLUB, the Show Superintendent, their Agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by the exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians.

ANYONE SMOKING IN THE RINGS will be responsible for any damage done to matting due to extinguishing smoking materials on them!
